Laser tag is high-tech hide and seek. Using "phasers" that emit a harmless infrared beam (just like a TV remote but bigger!) players tag one another. Games can be run indoors or outdoors, a forest setting or in a purpose-built arena.
The simplest game of laser tag is a "team elimination". This is where the players are divided into two roughly equal-sized groups. Each gamer gets 5 hit points. When a gamer is tagged 5 times their phaser is de-activated and they run back to their base camp to get a respawn. Once re-activated they can run back into the game for a bit of payback.
The winning team is one with the least number of respawns when the time is up.
