FAQ: Questions Teachers Often Ask
That depends on how many taggers you hire. Our rental sets start at eight players, with larger packs available for groups of 12, 16, 20, 30, or more.
For larger groups, we recommend playing in a round-robin format. Players can swap in and out between games, giving everyone a chance to join the fun.
Need equipment for a particularly large event? Give us a call, and we'll see what we can arrange.
This game is for the young and the young-at-heart!
Just about any open space works! You're playing high-tech hide-and-seek. Here are some examples that work:
- school oval
- shaded quadrangle
- undercroft
- indoor sports hall
- outdoor playground
- forested area on campus
You can easily create obstacles using existing outdoor structures, sports mats, or pop-up barriers. Even better, get the kids involved in designing the pop-up maze!
Instead of using paintball pellets or gel blaster ammo, laser tag uses an invisible infrared beam—just like the one in your TV remote. That means there’s no mess, no pain, and no need for protective gear like goggles.
In other words, Laser Tag uses harmless infrared beams (no paintballs or projectiles) so it’s completely painless and eye-safe.
There is no need for Wi-fi or the Internet. Better still, the equipment comes with fully charged batteries so that you can play & play. (Oh, and we will include a battery charger, but, honestly, most people never need to touch it!). There are no ongoing software fees, no downloads required, and no technical expertise needed.
Just unpack, switch on, and play! Laser tag rentals are perfect for vacation cares, schools, camps, parties, and reward days.
Absolutely! Our laser taggers are weather-resistant and built tough, so playing in the rain is totally doable. Just remember to keep the gear switched off and out of the rain when you're not using it to save the battery.
That said, the equipment isn’t waterproof. So while a bit of rain is fine, they can’t be submerged. So don't play in the pool. ;-)
Each rental includes basic insurance coverage. Minor wear and tear is covered. There's no need to pay a bond. Significant damage may incur additional fees. If you lose the equipment and don't return it, you are responsible for it.
We recommend supervising kids during gameplay. Read our Ts & Cs for the full details.
We recommend booking at least 2 weeks before your event. This gives us time to check, prepare and dispatch your equipment so it arrives ready for your event.
If you're in a rural or regional area, you'll generally need to allow a little more time for delivery.

StarTrack also arranges return collection for the business day after the event.
Someone must be present at the delivery address between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on all relevant days — including delivery, backup days, and collection. A business address is recommended for this reason.
Note: Rentals to NT, SA, WA, and remote outback areas must be booked at least 3 weeks in advance to allow enough courier time.
Deliveries typically occur between 9 am & 5 pm, 5 business days before your event. We use StarTrack, but they can’t provide an exact time. We aim to deliver a few days ahead of your event to allow for any last-minute issues.
Your boxes will be scheduled for collection the following business day after your event. Please ensure someone is available at the address you provide to sign for the delivery or collection.
Alternatively, we can arrange for you to collect or return the boxes at your local StarTrack depot. Let us know if you're interested in this option.
Yes, someone must be at the address to sign for the delivery and collection of the boxes; they cannot be left unattended. If you won’t be home, please provide an alternative address (e.g., a business address).
If you need to ship to a different address, please let us know before the equipment is dispatched, as we cannot change it once the shipment has left our premises.
No, all the necessary paperwork for your return shipment is included in the box. We will handle the courier booking for you, so you don’t need to arrange anything.
