1. Booking Procedure

Bookings can be made in-store, by phone, or via our chat. When you book, your reservation will initially be tentative in our system. Bookings must be made at least two weeks before your event date to allow proper scheduling. After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details. Please check it carefully and notify us immediately if anything is incorrect. We can’t be held responsible for errors if you don’t notifiy us.

1.1 Booking Details

We accept bookings up to 12 months in advance, subject to stock availability and our standard Terms & Conditions. Bookings are confirmed once the deposit is paid. We recommend booking at least four weeks ahead to avoid disappointment. For an official tax invoice, just ask! Upon booking, you will be required to agree to these Terms and Conditions. 


1.2 Booking Confirmation & Payment 

 A 50% deposit is required to confirm all bookings. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the event date.

Bookings made within 7 days of the event must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Payments can be made by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex – surcharge applies) or direct deposit (allow 2 business days for processing).

Please email proof of payment to admin@LaserTag.com.au with your invoice or booking number and surname as reference.

Cheques must be received prior to the payment due date to allow sufficient clearance before the event.

Purchase orders may be accepted upon request.


2. Cancellations

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are non-refundable.

Cancellations made within 8 days, but more than 48 hours from the event are eligible for a 25% refund (i.e. 75% cancellation fee) based on total booking value including deposits paid.

Cancellations made more than 8 days before the event are eligible for a 50% refund (i.e. 50% cancellation fee) based on total booking value including deposits paid.


Refunds (where applicable) are calculated on the total booking value, including any deposits paid.


3. Amendments to Bookings

To help us provide the best experience, all changes to your booking (including player numbers, event duration, or other requirements) should be communicated in writing at least 8 business days prior to your event.

Late amendment policy:

Requests received less than 8 business days before the event are considered late amendments.

While we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate late requests, we cannot guarantee changes to player numbers, packages, or services.

The full booking fee remains payable for late amendments, as staffing, equipment, and planning have already been committed.

Additional services requested at short notice may incur extra fees and are subject to availability.


By booking with Laser Tag in a Box, you acknowledge and accept that last-minute changes may not be accommodated and that fees already paid are generally non-refundable for late amendments.


4. Postponements 

 Postponements within 48 hours of the event incur a 50% postponement fee.

Postponements made within 8 days but more than 48 hours before the event incur a 20% postponement fee. 

Postponements made more than 8 days in advance incur a $25 processing fee

All postponement requests must be submitted in writing (email or text). If your request is made via phone, you will be sent a new confirmation email.

Only one date change is permitted per booking. Further changes may incur additional admin or rescheduling fees.


5. Weather-Related Postponements & Cancellations

Weather-related postponements or cancellations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and only apply in cases of extreme or unsafe conditions.


This includes:

• Torrential rain likely to cause unsafe conditions or flooding at the site or during travel

• Extreme heat where temperatures are forecast to exceed 37°C during event hours

• Lightning or other hazardous weather conditions deemed unsafe by Laser Tag in a Box staff


Light to moderate rain does not qualify for postponement or cancellation. Events will proceed unless conditions are deemed unsafe by our staff.

We operate rain or shine unless extreme weather conditions apply.


6. No-Show Policy 

Failure to attend or notify us is treated as a cancellation and is non-refundable.

There are no refunds for no-show players during or after your event. All changes to player numbers must be communicated 8 business days or more before your event either via email, phone, or text. Changes are not confirmed without a written confirmation from Laser Tag in a Box.


7. Conduct, Safety and Liability

Laser Tag involves inherent risks. All participants are required to follow safety instructions provided by staff at all times.

By booking Laser Tag in a Box, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with participation, and agree that, to the maximum extent permitted by law, responsibility for participation rests with the organiser and participants.

The organiser is responsible for ensuring the playing area is safe and suitable prior to the event. This includes removing or securing any hazards and ensuring adequate safe spaces for gameplay. If inflatables are not booked, a sufficient number of natural or built hiding spaces must be available (typically at least 1.5 times the number of players). Suitable hiding spaces may include buildings, large shrubs, or dense tree coverage. Open fields such as sports ovals are not suitable for gameplay.

For outdoor bushland environments, we recommend participants wear closed-in footwear and long pants to reduce risk of injury.

Breaks will be provided between games as required. The organiser is responsible for ensuring participants have access to adequate hydration, particularly in warm conditions.

Participants agree not to intentionally damage equipment, including taggers, inflatables, or vehicles. Normal wear and tear is expected and covered; however, damage caused by misuse or negligence may be charged to the organiser.


8. Theming and Language

Laser Tag in a Box has three "themes" that they use to cater to certain groups. By default the following themes are applied:

Family Friendly "Laser Tag"

Used for school groups (Years 1–9), vacation care programs, and birthday parties (ages 6–10). Taggers produce a light “pew-pew” sound effect and use terms such as “Tagged” and “Deactivated”.

Teen "Laser Tag"

Used for school groups (Years 10–12) and selected youth events. Taggers produce a more intense “bang-bang” sound effect while still using terms such as “Tagged” and “Deactivated”.

Live Gaming "Battle Royale"

Used for birthday parties (11+), corporate events, and social functions. Taggers use immersive combat-style sound effects and use terms such as “Hit” and “Eliminated”.


If you have a preference for a specific theme, or are unsure which will apply, please notify us prior to your event.


9. Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Queensland and Australian law. Any disputes must be resolved within this jurisdiction.


10. Amendment of Terms

We reserve the right to update, modify, or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

It is the responsibility of the customer to review the Terms and Conditions prior to booking. Where material changes occur, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate updates.

By continuing to book or use our services, you agree to be bound by the most current version of these Terms and Conditions.


11. Additional Notes 

Refunds (where applicable) will be processed within 7 business days. 

All changes to bookings are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
