A Simple Game for Kids of All Ages
Blitz is a simple and energetic game. It is the perfect follow-up game to "Team Elimination".
The objective?
Tag the other team's base box as many times as possible.
Each tag is one point, and the team with the most points wins!
This is sure to get your players moving and having fun.
Blitz is an exciting, action-packed game. Here’s everything you need to know to get started.
Set-Up
Each team has a “Blitz Box” located at their base camp, which should be placed at opposite ends of the field. This is the spot that players will return to for reactivation.
The other team's box is where you score points!
For this game, it's best to hide the Blitz Box behind a tree or place it on a chair. That way, players can't score points with a strong-on shot.
Ensure that there are still multiple ways a player can make a tag.
Reactivation
When a player is tagged, they lose Health Points (HP) and are “deactivated.”
But don’t worry!
To get back in the game, return to your team’s Blitz Box. Once you're within arm's reach, your tagger will automatically reactivate.
If you’re unsure if your tagger has been reactivated, pull the trigger—if it says "You're Deactivated," you're still deactivated!!
Scoring a Point
Get over to the other team's Blitz Box. Then, use your tagger to shoot the sensor on the top of the box.
Your tagger will make a "bing!" noise every time you make a tag. That's one point.
After a deactivation, head back to your Blitz Box.
In this game, each box will have a 10 second delay after it makes a reactivation. This gives players on the other team a chance to score points.
So if one Red Team player is reactivated, and another arrives 4 seconds later, they'll need to wait six more seconds before they get a reactivation.
Pro Tip: You can set a timer for your game using the Master Controller, typically running 5 or 10-minute rounds. Games work best with a time limit to keep the pace fast and fun!
If you select the "Blitz" game on your controller, you will get updates throughout the game. At the end of the game, the controller calculates who won and lets you play a victory phrase, either: "Red Team is Victorious" or "Blue Team is Victorious," depending on which team won!
Switching It Up
After the first round, swap the Blitz Boxes so teams play both sides of the field.
Mission Briefing Script:
"Okay, listen up! This game is called “Blitz.” Whichever team scores the most points wins! To score a point, get to the other team's base box and tag the sensor on top. You'll hear a "ding!" when it registers.
Tag the box as many times as possible to accumulate points. And don’t forget to tag other players, too — if they’re deactivated, they can’t score. Important: Your base box has a 10-second delay between reactivations. So, if your teammate just got reactivated, you’ll need to wait a few seconds before your turn. If you get tagged out, head straight back to your Blitz Box to get back in the game.
Ready? Aim… FUN!"
