#10 Things You Never Knew

I thought I’d introduce myself. 

It’s my birthday, so I thought, why not?

Here are 10 fun facts about me...

Number #1

1️⃣ I’m part of a gaming family. Mum of two bigs (a pigeon pair!). Both my kiddos work in the family business—and yep, they’re gamers too!

Number #2

2️⃣ My husband, Peter (also a gamer ❤️), and I had a whirlwind romance. He moved to San Diego six weeks after we met. I followed him to the USA ✈️—my parents thought I was bloody nuts! But hey, we celebrate 27 years of marriage this April.

3️⃣ I have a post-grad degree in gaming, specifically in Multi-User Dungeons (MUDs), the OG online multiplayer games. Yep, I’m officially a qualified gaming geek!

4️⃣ I literally wrote the book on live-action gaming: "Right on Target"— it's a guide on how to start and grow a laser tag business. Yep, I wrote the book on this subject. No kidding.

5️⃣ I play competitive table tennis. But let’s be honest—it’s more like ping-pong when I play! ;-)

6️⃣ I’m that person who wanders around the house, turning off lights and fans to conserve energy. (Much to my family’s amusement!)

7️⃣ At age 3, I ran away from home. I took my 2-year-old sister with me. My essentials? Candy … but when I couldn’t find any, I packed a banana instead. A neighbor caught us before we made it past the first block!

8️⃣ I’m a sci-fi fanatic. Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who—I love it all! Big screen: Counting down to Dune: Part 3! Small screen: The space opera "Foundation" is one of my favorites!

9️⃣ I love a barista-made cappuccino ☕, but my office (and home) are stocked with 5+ types of tea. More tea, anyone?

 I love parties! And helping people make memories with their loved ones. That’s my why at Battlefield Sports—creating unforgettable experiences! Encouraging less screen time & more green time!
