Kim from Eight Mile Plains is a Scout Master. This is her story.
I took my Laser Tag in a Box (which was actually two boxes) to my nine year old's cub scout end of year break up party.
It was a surprise treat for the kids.

You know that look your kids get at Christmas when they are unwrapping presents? That was the look on 15 shiny faces when they discovered what was in the boxes.
Some of the kids actually refused to go for a swim so they could get more laser tag time!
The staff were great when I picked up the boxes, with the girl in the shop giving me a thorough run-through on how the guns worked, and what settings I could change to make sure we got the best experience out of it.
The boxes are fairly large - the pair filled my empty Honda Jazz boot without leaving much room so make sure you've got the space in your car if you're picking them up.
It's also worth considering where you are going to run the party. We used the laser tag guns in an open backyard environment from dusk to early night. Because there weren't many obstacles for the kids to hide behind, they quickly got deactivated. In hindsight, getting some inflatables would've made the missions a bit more interesting.
My son can't wait until his next birthday, he's already decided that he wants a laser tag party. If they could find a way to combine it with Minecraft, he'd be in heaven.
