Support the Girls is on a mission to help disadvantaged women reclaim their sense of self-worth.
Founder Jane Holmes, passionate about educating people on the realities faced by disenfranchised women, emphasizes that financial security and education are not foolproof shields against hardship.
Many women, even those in strong financial positions, may suddenly find themselves in dire straits due to circumstances like divorce, domestic situations, or the loss of a spouse.
Pride often prevents these women from seeking help, and society's perception of them as having it all together can be far from the truth.
Laser Tag in a Box is proud to partner with Support the Girls to give access to supportive bras and essential hygiene products.
Access to these products is a basic human right and a lack of these resources can perpetuate shame, stress, and mental health issues for women and girls who are often already facing disadvantage, trauma, and abuse.
This issue is seen far and wide across metro regions as well as rural, remote areas and Indigenous communities.
By supporting Support the Girls through donations, you play a crucial role in granting women and girls the dignity they deserve. Your contributions empower them to feel confident, boost their self-esteem, and cultivate resilience, enabling them to reach their full potential in school, at work, and at home.
Support the Girls, established in 2016, has garnered sponsorship from various Australian companies, including Modibodi, Nude by Nature, and Alpha-H. We are proud to be the 33rd collection point across Australia and are excited to be part of this impactful movement.
Our shop in Logan, Queensland, now serves as a collection point for Support the Girls. We invite you to drop off any preloved bras in good condition or brand new, emphasizing the importance of providing the best quality bras possible to empower women.
The collection basket is available at our store Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm (excluding public holidays), and cash donations can be made to Support the Girls year-round.
