Case Study: Coca-Cola Amatil Family Fun Day

Purpose of the Event

Coca-Cola Amatil asked Laser Tag in a Box to entertain their Brisbane Staff and their families at Christmas. 

So we created a terrific family fun day to help them celebrate Christmas. 

Coca-Cola Amatil had contacted Laser Tag in a Box to source a fun and interactive activity that entertained the age group of 10 to 17-year-olds. 

The day was a success with the Laser Tag being an activity that all age groups enjoyed participating in resulting in us returning as a supplier.

Type of Event - Corporate Christmas Party

The crew at Coca-Cola were expecting more than 500 people to attend this event. 

So the Laser Tag in a Box team planned the day thoroughly. 

The game we played on the day is called "Capture and Hold" (aka "domination"). In our experience of running large events, this was a brilliant game to ensure everyone has lots of fun and everyone gets lots of game time. 

We had twenty players at a time and played short five-minute games throughout the day. 

This way we would move quickly through the queue. It took the staff two hours to set up all of our inflatables and equipment. 

We set up across two Tennis Courts. 

The gaming area looked like a battlefield just like a video game. We achieved this by setting up door and window inflatables which created camouflage rooms. 

This meant we had an authentic maze in which to play. 

We also spread out bunker inflatables to fill in the gaps on the court. The event ran for a total of four hours of fun!

Interesting Elements of this Corporate Event

The event was located on-site at the Coca-Cola Amatil property where they turned the entire front yard into a bright fun carnival full of activities for the families. 

The Laser Tag team set up on two tennis courts which allowed us plenty of space to create the battlefield.

Being December in Brisbane it was a hot day, we brought along marquees for players and staff to provide some shade. And guess what? 

The Coca-Cola Amatil crew and their families loved it so much that in the first December event, they booked us again the following December.
