The laser tag game "Hotspots" is a great choice for high schools and team building events.
Everyone starts with 5 Health Points. When they get tagged, they loose a Health Point.
When a player is on 0 Health Points, their tagger is "deactivated". They return to their team's Medic Box (see map). Once they are close enough, they will get reactivated and they are back in the game!
In the Hotspots game, teams work together to score points off three objectives. These are called Hot Spots!
After a randomised amount of time, a Hot Spot will go "hot". This means all the lights on the box are on. When a player tags the Hot Spot, they score one point and the box does dark again. They'll have to wait until the Hot Spot lights up again to score another point.
When you start the game, the Hot Spots will be ready to go!
Players hunt down and tag the hotspots whenever they light up. This is a challenge of teamwork, communication, and observation.
To play this game you'll need a total of 5 Boxes. Let the team know you want to run the Hotspots game when you make your booking and we'll ensure you have the right pack to do it.
For scoring, choose “Hot Spots” on the Select Game menu on the controller. The team that scores the greatest number of points wins.
"Listen up! We’re going to play Hot Spots. This game is all about scoring as many points as possible for your team. There are targets out of the field set as Hot Spots. Every so often they will go 'hot'. You’ll know they’re hot because all the lights will be on. The first player to get to the target and tag it gets the point. Ready? Set. Go!"
