Treasure Hunt Parties

Party At Home

If you don't want to go for a full-on army theme, consider a "relic raider" one.

It is a great costume party idea. Inspired by popular movies like Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider or National Treasure.

This way you can integrate lead-up activities focusing on archaeology. Let's face it, it is not that hard to throw a party. But it can be challenging to throw a good one. It is what we, as Mothers (or Fathers/Carers), strive for.

We want to make this party special.

That delightful sound of when your child exclaims: 'Hey Mum, that was the best birthday ever!'

SET THE THEME: "Treasure Hunt!"

Set the theme with a cool invitation.

This way you can start off your Treasure Hunt themed party on the right foot!

We have a couple of designs to choose from, click here.

Decorations Hints & Tips

Of course, part of the fun is creating lots of interesting props in the backyard. Some other party decoration ideas are green, black, and brown/tan balloons and streamers.

Or you might like to paint cardboard boxes with camouflage patterns or Egyptian motifs or hieroglyphs (why not incorporate interesting historic facts into the fun day).

If you have time, why not hit the army disposal or surplus stores for netting, tarps, ammo boxes or other relic raider themed things.  Now you can hire camo nets from us.

Prepare the Battlefield!

Once you have booked your "fun in a box" with Laser Tag, and have your hire date confirmed, then you can schedule a preparation day. You can get the kids to help "Prepare for Battle!"

In other words, you can make a whole day activity of painting, building, constructing and generally having fun. Note: this is an optional activity.

Since we are playing high-tech hide and seek our laser games can be played pretty much anywhere you can find something to hide behind. So you can go as elaborate or as simple as you please.

Food Hints & Tips

If you want to go all out you might like to consider MREs (Meals Ready to Eat) from army or navy surplus stores. But, really, if you've ever eaten one of these they are not really the best fare for kid's birthday parties.

So instead you might like to create your own "ration packs" with chocolate, crackers, and bottles of water.

What to Wear Ideas & Inspo For Treasure Hunt Cosplay

We recommend inviting everyone to dress up, after all, dressing up is half the fun! You can order a camo face paint set from us (one set should be enough to do everyone at the party). Or suggest togas to keep with the Ancient Egypt theme.

Ask Grandad if he has an old fedora in the back of the wardrobe or cupboard. Most kids nowadays have some sort of camo outfit in their wardrobe.

And if not, buy a "Temple of Doom costume" or as a good substitute try the Rey cosplay outfit from Star Wars. Or simply hire camo coveralls from us (but remember to let us know your size!)

Either way, we recommend everyone wear long pants and covered shoes.

Loot or Goodie Bags Hints & Tips

You can order Loot Bags from Lasertag.com.au. They have novelties in them like lollies & toy soldiers. Depending on availability we also have torches or toy compasses or other stuff.

You can also order cool metal dog tags from us.

Icing on the Cake

One of the benefits of organising a party is that you can choose the cake. If you bake your own or order a cake that fits the theme. Ideas such as Tank Cakes you are sure to delight the crowd. But if you are not a wiz in the kitchen (& let's face it who has the time?) then let the professionals do it.  All parties require bookings, call us today to see what we can do for you, PH: 1800 Book Us (1800 2665 87).
